 Work area

Arena

 Necessary equipment

8 Poles

8 Cones

 Goal(s) :

Improve halts and downward transitions.

 Process :

1. Warm up at the walk, moving straight and energetically along the line of poles. Turn straight and perpendicular to the center of the square while crossing the poles. Also, do this diagonally.
2. At the trot, first make a transition to the walk as you approach the square, then upon exiting the square, transition back to the trot. Do not let your horse drift, continue straight with a widened rein corridor.
3. Repeat the exercise by varying the angles of entry into the square.
4. Once your horse is relaxed and focused enough, perform halts in the square, count a pause of 3 seconds (immobility) then depart at the trot.
5. Do the same at the canter.
