Like many riders, my journey as a club rider changed in 2011 when I became the caretaker of my mare, Linda. Her arrival in my life was the starting point for so many things. I owe her a lot, and I believe the creation of this platform is part of that too. 💖
The first few months were filled with discoveries, failures, and successes. But soon, I found myself lacking inspiration for our riding sessions. Even worse, when I did come up with exercise ideas, I faced several challenges: either the exercise didn’t match our level, or I didn’t have the necessary equipment to set it up… And it was even more frustrating when I wanted to find session ideas beyond just dressage or jumping!
In 2016, I began studying communication and web development. That’s when the first idea for Appaloo slowly started to take shape in my mind. I was missing a tool—so why not create it?
By 2018, I had started my own business as a webmaster and graphic designer. I thrived in the work I loved. Alongside my client projects, Appaloo gradually took up more and more space in my thoughts. My business was growing, bringing me immense joy. As time passed, I felt a growing desire to develop my own project—one that would allow me to fully express my creativity and vision.
That’s why, in 2022, my partner and I decided to finally dive into the adventure!
He’s a developer, so between the two of us, we have the skills needed to get started!
After several months of work, interrupted by horseback rides and mucking out (because yes, I’m still a rider at heart!), we launched Appaloo Equestrian in March 2023.
The rest, we’re writing it together ;)
