Desensitization to Narrow Passage

 Goal(s) :

To desensitize your foal or horse to walking through a narrow passage.

 Process :

Successfully lead your horse calmly between the poles without forcing. To begin, walk through the center and halt between the cones at the end. Once this is achieved, increase the difficulty by stopping in the middle of the narrow passage.
You can then ask your horse to take a few steps backward, then move forward again to the cones.
To further increase the challenge, you can add a tarp in the middle of the passage or on the sides of the poles, perform the exercise at a trot, or add streamers at the entrance or exit of the passage.

 Difficulties :

Getting the horse to go through without stress and without forcing.
