Lateral Movement

 Goal(s) :

Move your horse laterally over a pole.

 Process :

The horse has its forelegs on one side of the pole and its hind legs on the other. It starts outside the area marked by cones and finishes on the other side as well. The rider asks the horse to move laterally over the pole. Contract 10pts: on a lead rope. Contract 15pts: the lead rope attached to the halter with an elastic. Contract 20pts: at liberty.

 Difficulties :

The horse must move laterally without forward movement to avoid stepping all four feet over the pole.
