Goal(s) :
Improve the horse's responsiveness, attention, balance, and core strength.
Process :
The aim of the exercise is to make transitions increasingly closer together (within the horse's physical and mental limits).
We will start at a walk with 15 strides, then transition with 15 strides of trot, then move to 12, then 10, then 7, then 5, then 3. Then we can include the canter, with 10 strides of trot, then 10 of canter, gradually reducing. Depending on the session's progress, transitions can become more complex by moving from walk to canter or vice versa. It's up to you to adjust based on your horse's training progress.
Difficulties :
Easy, adaptable according to the horse's level.
