Transitions

 Goal(s) :

To manage transitions on the circle.

 Process :

Start and finish with the horse at liberty, standing still facing the rider. Contract 10pts: The horse completes 2 laps at the trot, then upon passing between the cones, it transitions to a walk. Then it repeats the exercise again. Contract 15pts: The horse completes 2 laps at the trot, then upon passing between the cones, it transitions to a walk. The rider requests a change of rein and performs the same exercise on the other rein. Contract 20pts: The horse completes 2 laps at the trot, then upon passing between the cones, it performs a 5-second halt. The rider requests a change of rein and performs the same exercise on the other rein.

Achieving transitions at a distance in a confined space.
