Goal(s) :
The objective is to boost the horse's confidence (the corridor is long and relatively narrow, which can be intimidating). Then, improve its control through the canter-walk transition, trotting over poles, and canter departure.
Process :
For this comprehensive exercise, start with a canter through the long corridor, then perform a canter-walk transition at the exit. Resume trotting and cross the perpendicular ground poles. Upon exiting, return to a canter and repeat. Remember to change rein regularly.
Difficulties :
This exercise is quite comprehensive and can be complex, especially due to the canter-walk transitions. Feel free to start simpler by only doing canter-trot transitions. Remember to keep a soft hand throughout the exercise and don't get overwhelmed by the sequence. The rhythm should remain stable, and the bounce should increase.
