Canter Departure with Haunches In

 Goal(s) :

Improve the engagement of the outside hind leg in the canter departure

 Process :

Make a 5m circle at the walk or a 7m circle at the trot following the corner after the short side of the arena, (asking for bend from your horse) at the end of this circle maintain the bend and thus keep the haunches to the inside on the straight line and ask for the canter departure. Halt before the next corner or make a circle and halt.

 Difficulties :

Maintain the haunches to the inside and the bend on the straight line. The horse should not increase its pace before the canter departure. Achieve a calm canter after the departure.
