Necessary equipment
8 Poles
4 Stands
Goal(s) :
To have a horse attentive to the rider’s aids, without anticipation and in a calm manner.
Process :
Trot calmly over the first 4 ground poles, then pick up canter after the last ground pole. Ride one or two canter strides, depending on your preference, then canter over the 4 raised cavaletti (similar to 4 bounce jumps), always maintaining calmness.
Difficulties :
Having a horse that does not anticipate, that responds to the aids, and for the rider, gaining precision in giving the aids, as well as maintaining control and consistency over several repetitions.
