The Circle

 Goal(s) :

To manage changes of rein on the circle.

 Process :

Start and finish with the horse standing still facing the rider. Contract 10pts: On a lunge line. The rider moves within the large circle. The horse completes two laps in one direction, changes rein, one lap in the other direction, then stops. Contract 15pts: Horse at liberty. The rider moves within the large circle. Two laps in one direction, change of rein, one lap in the other direction, then stop. Contract 20pts: Horse at liberty. The rider moves within the small circle. The horse completes two laps in one direction. Change of rein. One lap in one direction. Change of rein. One lap in the other direction. Stop.
